Privacy Policy
Effective 1 October 2026
This policy explains what information the Bolly Music app for Android (package com.adtkedia.bollymusic) and this website (bollymusic.app) collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. Bolly Music is provided by Aditya Kedia (“we”, “us”).
Summary
We keep your name, your email address, and the songs you shortlist. We do not show ads, we do not use analytics or an advertising identifier, and we do not sell or share your information.
Information we collect
When you sign in with Google. Google shares your Google account’s unique identifier, your name and your email address with us. We use the standard openid, profile and email permissions only. We never see your Google password.
Your shortlist. The songs you mark with a heart are saved to your account so they are available on any device you sign in on.
Account records. The date your account was created and a sign-in session. The session token is kept in your phone’s secure storage; our server stores only a one-way hash of it.
On your device only. Your theme, lyric script (English or हिंदी) and filter settings are stored on your phone and never sent to us.
Technical data. Like any internet service, our hosting provider receives your IP address and basic request details when the app talks to our server. We do not use these to identify or profile you.
What we do not collect
No location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, fingerprint or other device data. No analytics, crash-tracking SDKs, advertising IDs or third-party advertising. The app requests only internet access.
How we use your information
To sign you in, keep you signed in, show your name in the app, and save and sync your shortlist. That is all. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not use it to train artificial-intelligence models.
Google user data
Bolly Music’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use your Google account identifier, name and email only to provide sign-in and your account. We do not transfer this data to others, except as needed to operate the service (our hosting provider), to comply with law, or with your consent. No person reads it except where you ask for support or the law requires.
Services we rely on
Cloudflare hosts our server and database, where your account and shortlist are stored.
YouTube. Videos play in YouTube’s embedded player, which uses YouTube API Services. When a video plays, YouTube may collect information under its own terms. See the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can manage access through Google’s security settings.
OpenAI. When you view a song in हिंदी for the first time, the song’s lyrics are sent to OpenAI to be written out in Devanagari. Only the lyrics are sent — never your name, email or any account information.
Google Sign-In handles the sign-in itself, under Google’s own privacy policy.
Exports and sharing
When you export your list, the CSV file is created on your phone and passed to your phone’s share sheet. We never receive it. “Share with family & friends” sends a link to this website through the app you choose.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account and shortlist until you delete your account. You can delete it at any time in the app (menu → Delete my account) or by following the steps on our account deletion page. Deletion immediately removes your account record, your shortlist and all sign-in sessions from our database. Copies in our provider’s automatic backups expire within 30 days.
Security
All traffic between the app and our server is encrypted with HTTPS. Session tokens are stored hashed. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we keep the data we hold to a minimum.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to its use. Most of this you can do in the app. For anything else, email us at help@bollymusic.app and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Bolly Music is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Grievance Officer
In line with India’s Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, complaints about how your data is handled can be sent to our Grievance Officer: Aditya Kedia, D116 A, Basant Marg, Bani Park, Jaipur 302016, India, help@bollymusic.app. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and its effective date, and tell you in the app before the change applies to you.
